The expedition to the Amazon river offers the opportunity to see a totally different world very detached from urban development, where you will discover an astounding sphere of sheer nature and an effervescent biodiversity of flora and fauna.
Itinerary
DAY 1 LIMA – IQUITOS
Welcome to Iquitos, register and briefing at Amazon River Expedition office, transfer to wharf motorized boat ride. Along the way we will enjoy the impressive jungle landscape and the picturesque houses of the people who live on the banks of the Amazon river. In this trip we will be able to observe the confluence of the Amazon River with the Nanay River. Visita a la Isla de los monos arrival to the Heliconia Lodge welcome drink and check in. In the afternoon after lunch we will have an excursión. We will walk through the jungle with a guide, we will identify botanical species such as Heliconias, medicinal plants, giant trees; we will hear the sound of different species of birds. We will appreciate a beautiful sunset, came back to the lodge.
DAY 2 HELICONIA- NATIVE COMMUNITY IMMERSION, FISHING . PINK DOLPHIN.
Before breakfast very early in the morning we walk along the nature, we will have the experience to see different kinds of birds. Go back to the lodge, we’ll have breakfast, then we will visit to a native community, lunch. In the afternoon we will go to fishing, along the way we will have the opportunity to see the pink dolphin. At night hike, after dinner. Overnight.
DAY 3 HELICONIA- IQUITOS- LIMA
After breakfast nature hike in a short visit, glimpse the giant wáter Lily and other species, lunch, go back to Iquitos, transfer to the airport, after 1 hour and a half arrive to Lima. Transfer to hotel.
