DAY 1 MONKEY ISLAND.
We´ll arrive to Puerto Maldonado, Peru´s capital of biodiversity.
Our trip begins with a tour of the city in a private bus. Wéll continue to Capitania a small river port where we´ll board a motorized boat to cross the Madre de Dios River, as the trip progresses we´ll become inmersed in the natural surroundings of the jungle, while observing the roncoso, caimas, turtles, herons cormorants and other animals species. We ´ll arrive at the Ecoamazonia Lodge and enjoy an exquisite welcome drink, then we ´ll settle into our bungalows and have a lunch.
In the afternoon a tour guide lead us to visit Monkey Island a unique place at the heart of the Madre de Dios river 5 minutes from the lodge along the way we observe an extraordinary landscepes and exuberant flora that are home to a variety of monkey speciews such as: maquisapas, capuchins, lions monkeys, puffins and cotos and a great diversity of birds. We´ll complete our visit of the island while enjoying the sunset most impresive moment of any day in the jungle, then we´ll return to the lodge.
DAY 2 LAKE APU VICTOR.
We´ll wake up to the delightful song of birds in the sorrounding canopy, after breakfast we´ll start our excursion with a walk deep into the jungle, along the way we´ll see Caimans´ cave after we´ll arrive at majestic Lake Apu Victor, with its crystal clear water, surrounding jungle marshes and giant tree species, we´ll ascend to an observation point that opens up a spectacular view over the lake we observe parrots, guacamayos, tucans, camungo, shanshos, herons, caimans, turtles.
In the afternoon we´ll return to the lodge .
GAMITANA RIVER: On this excursion, it is important to take a hat along, as well as sun-block and a swimming suit. We´ll also be able to fish and take a dip in the river before returning to the lodge for dinner.
DAY 3 PUERTO MALDONADO- CUSCO.
Transfer to Puerto Maldonado airport.
