This tour will give us the opportunity of viewing the beautiful scenery and landscape. Of the South Valley along the Vilcanota River.

We are going to visit Tipon with a great hydraulic wáter system over the mountain, Pikillacta a Pre- Inca site. Then we will go to the Sistine Chapel, It is one of the beautiful church in Andahuaylillas.

ITINERARY

Pick up from your hotel at 8:30 a.m, the first place that we’ll visit is:

TIPON

It is 25 minutes from Cusco. This Archaeological National Complex is located at 3500 meters above sea level, Tipon is situated in the native community of Choquepata in Orpeza.

The complex has diverse groups of Royal rooms that were construted by the Inca Wiracocha as a mansion and refuge for his father Yawar Waqaq. In additions there are twuelve terraces and water channels. Even more impressive is the great hydraulic water system over the mountains that constitute a work of hydraulic engineering, that are still serving to the agriculture.

The next site that we visit is

PIKILLACTA

This is a Pre-Inca culture it was part of Wari Culture. This Archaeological complex that cover an area of 3421 hectares is located at 3350 meters above sea level.

Pikillacta (flea town) is in quechua compose word that means. Town of the flea.

Piki – flea
Llacta – town.

It has great walls some of them are like 10 meters probably of a house of three floors.

We continue with the tours and visit

ANDAHUAYLILLAS.

Called the “Sistine Chapel of America”, it is compare with the Sistine Chapel that was painted by Miguel Angel in Rome Italy.

Due to the quality of the works of art found inside. Andahuaylillas’s church is located at 3100 meters, a walk along its main plaza that is adorned with pisonay (trees of Coral) and palm trees.

In the afternoon we will return to Cusco at 3:00 p.m.
