Lares Trek to Machupicchu 4 Days/ 3 Nights (Community)
This trip combines the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Lares Valley and the awesome archaeological sites of Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and Machupicchu, along the way to Lares we will see snowcapped mountains of the Vilcanota range, turquoise glacial lagoons. Authentic encounters with Andean communities like Quishuarani, Cancha Cancha and others. We will have the opportunity to see tatched Stone houses sorrounded by herds of llamas and Alpacas. Inside the houses you will see guinea pigs running loose.
Itinerary
DAY 1 CUSCO – PISAQ- QUISHUARANI
We depart Cusco very early in the morning and drive through the pisturesque Sacred Valley, here we visit the traditional Andean market and the archaeological complex in Pisaq, lunch in the charming main square. From here we continue through the Sacred Valley and climb by vehicle into the Cordillera Vilcanota. We have a short aclimatization hike to the village of Quishuarani. Our first campsite.

DAY 2 QUISHUARANI – CANCHA CANCHA
Following the trail out of Quishuarani Community, we climb past a series of cascading waterfalls and lagoons, an original Inca Stone path leads us steeply up the ridge to Pachacuteq pass ( 4700 meters sea above sea level), the highest point on our trek. Nearing the top, we enjoy spectacular view of the snow covered peaks of Pitusiray (5750 m.a.s.l) and Chicon ( 5530 m.a.s.l). The trail leads down into the opposite corridor to the brilliant glacial lakes of Suirococha and Yuraccocha. Here we can see several birds species, including Andean Ibis and Andean geese. Descending further, we begin to see the thatched- roof Stone houses and corrals of Cancha Cancha community. Our last campsite.

DAY 3 CANCHA CANCHA- HUARAN – OLLANTAYTAMBO.
Today our hike follows the Cancha Cancha river down into a fertile Green valley replete with flowers, plants and birds of the región, after a gente descent of approximately 3-4 hours. We reach the village of Huaran, where we have lunch before driving to Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon we will board a train that will take us the final stretch of the way to Aguas Calientes.

DAY 4 MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
After breakfast very early in the morning, we will take a bus to Machupicchu for 25 minutes of journey, and enjoy a guided tour for 2 or 3 hours of the spectacular complex of Machupicchu. There is a time to explore on your own. In the afternoon take the back train to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel.
