Uros Taquile Amantani 2Days / 1 Night
This tour takes place in the highest lake in the world that. It is at 3800 meters above sea level, surrounded by dense vegetation where the totora prevails, it is inhabited by various islands, and each one of them has their own history, Uros, Taquile, Amantani, offer experiences where it is possible to live directly the tradition and customs of a village.
Itinerary
DAY 1 PUNO- UROS- AMANTANI
After breakfast pick up from the hotel at 6:30 and we go by private transport to the main port, after 30 minutes we arrive to the unique floating reed island of man-made, where the natives live on reeds that grow abundantly in the lake.
The people of the Uros still maintain their own culture and tradition, one of their activities is artisanal fishing, hunting wild birds.
Continue with the trip, along the way you will be able to observe the natural beauty of the landscape, the Andes Mountains, after 3 hours, approximately 9 km we arrive at Amantani, the President of the Community will welcome us and the families will be responsible for providing accommodation and food.
In the afternoon we will have the option to walk through one of the sacred mountains called Pacha Tata. Overnight in Amantani.
DAY 2 AMANTANI – TAQUILE.
After a typical breakfast, and after 1 hour of navigation, we will visit the Taquile Island this is a fascinating natural island in the lake, it has several hills with Inca terraces, people wear multicolored traditional costumes that they make themselves. Lunch in Taquile.
In the afternoon return to Puno. Transfer to your hotel.
